Select Lever: Installation

  1. Connect the shift position indicator terminal.

    Terminal No. Wiring color
    5 Red/white
    6 Blue/white
  2. Install the housing, blind A and blind B.
  3. Install the harness.
  4. Install the connector.
  5. Install the indicator.
  6. Set the select lever.
  7. Install the bolt which holds the select lever.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  8. Connect the connector.
  9. Install the harness clip.
  10. Install the select cable. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>Select Cable>INSTALLATION .
  11. Install the cover center side RH and the cover center side LH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Center Console>INSTALLATION .
  12. Install the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Console Box>INSTALLATION .
  13. Insert the rod in the direction shown in the figure.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to insert the rod in the wrong direction by 90°.

  14. Install the clamp to the grip.
  15. Install the grip cover to the grip.
    NOTE: After installation, check that the grip cover does not come off.
  16. Insert the grip into the select lever.
    NOTE: Confirm that a clicking sound is heard.
  17. Shift the select lever to "P range".
  18. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
