Select Cable: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N range".

  3. Remove the center exhaust cover. Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO)>REAR EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
    NOTE: Remove the center exhaust cover only.
  4. Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  5. Remove the adjusting nut (rear).

  6. Raise the claw of clamp to remove the clamp and remove the select cable.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  7. Remove the select cable from the cable plate.
