Select Lever: Removal

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N range".

Remove the center exhaust cover. Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO)>REAR EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
NOTE: Remove the center exhaust cover only.

Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.

CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

Lower the grip cover vertically. (Model with gate shifter)

Remove the clamp.

Remove the duct console center. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT DUCT>REMOVAL>CONSOLE DUCT>CENTER .
Remove the harness.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the select lever.
CAUTION: Be careful not to apply a load to the select cable.
