Keyless Access System
- When performing the check, check one access key at a time, separating individual keys.
- Do not leave any separated access keys in the vehicle.
The following inspections show the initial settings. When the settings are different from the initial settings, use Subaru Select Monitor to check the details of each setting for inspections. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR>LIST .
- While carrying the access key, check that the room light illuminates when you move close to the front door handles of the vehicle whose doors are all locked.
- While carrying the access key, check that only the driver's door is unlocked or all doors are unlocked, the hazard lights flash, and the buzzer sounds by grasping the front door knob on the driver's side (touching the touch sensor (unlock)).
- While carrying the access key, check that only the rear gate is unlocked or all doors are unlocked, the hazard lights flash, and the buzzer sounds by pressing the rear gate opener button.
- While carrying the access key, check that all doors and the rear gate are unlocked, the hazard lights flash, and the buzzer sounds by grasping the front door knob on the passenger's side (touching the touch sensor (unlock)).
- While carrying the access key, check that all doors and the rear gate are locked, and the hazard lights flash when you touch the touch sensor (lock) of the front door or press the rear lock button of the rear gate.
- The buzzer sounds twice and the hazard lights flash twice when unlocking.
- The buzzer sounds once and the hazard lights flash once when locking.
- While carrying the access key, check that the trunk unlocks, the hazard lights flash twice, and the buzzer sounds twice when the trunk opener button is pressed.
- Model with power rear gate
While carrying the access key, check that all doors and the rear gate are locked, and the rear gate is automatically closed, when you press and release the power rear gate lock switch with the rear gate open.
- Model with hands-free power rear gate
While carrying the access key, check that the rear gate is automatically opened when you put your hand close to the ornament rear while the rear gate is closed.
- Check that the handsfree function does not operate when the handsfree OFF switch is turned ON.
- Manually operate the access key button to check the unlock/lock of doors and rear gate, and the flashing of hazard lights.
- Check for unlocking/locking by using the mechanical key attached to the access key.
The mechanical key is a single groove type. Insert the mechanical key with the groove side facing the front side of the vehicle.
- Check that the warning buzzer sounds and the door-lock does not operate, when the doors are closed with the access key left in the vehicle and the touch sensor (lock) on door is touched, or the rear lock button on rear gate is pressed.
Remove the mechanical key from the access key and hold the mechanical key.
- With the access key in the trunk, check that the warning buzzer sounds when you close the trunk and that the trunk unlocks when you press the trunk opener button.
