Transmission Control Module (TCM): Installation

CAUTION: When replacing the TCM, be sure to perform the module registration.

Attach the bracket.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Install the TCM.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Connect the connector.
NOTE: Move the lock lever and confirm that a clicking sound is heard.
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
When the TCM has been replaced, perform the module registration. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>UNIT REGISTRATION>OPERATION .
Perform the [Clear AT learning value] and [AT learning mode] using Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>AT LEARNING .
