- Install the cushion assembly (A) to the fuel tank. (When replacing with a new part)
NOTE:
After installing the cushion assembly, confirm that the claw section on the cushion assembly is securely inserted into the fuel tank.
- Attach the cushion (B) to the fuel tank. (When replacing with a new part)
NOTE:
- When replacing the fuel tank with a new one, attach a new cushion before using.
- Before attaching the cushion, degrease the attaching surface of fuel tank.

- Install the fuel tank cover to the fuel tank. (Impreza model)
CAUTION:
Check that the fuel tank cover has no deformation, cracks or other damages. If the fuel tank cover is defective, replace it with a new fuel tank cover.

- Attach the cushion to the fuel tank cover as shown in the figure. (Impreza model) (When replacing with a new part)
NOTE:
When replacing the fuel tank cover with a new one, attach a new cushion before using.
- Degrease the fuel tank cover attaching surface.
- Attach cushions A and B while aligning with the fuel tank cover positioning protrusions. To do this, place and attach cushion A so that it protrudes approx. 10 mm (0.39 in) from the fuel tank cover front end.
