- Insert the gear shift lever from the underside of the vehicle.
- Install the joint to the transmission and secure with a spring pin.
(A) Joint (B) Spring pin - Mount the cushion rubber on the vehicle body.
Tightening torque:
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
(A) Stay (B) Cushion rubber - Connect the rod to the joint.NOTE: Use a new self-locking nut.
Tightening torque:
12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)
(A) Stay (B) Rod - Connect the stay to the shift bracket, and tighten the self-locking nut.NOTE: Use a new self-locking nut.
Tightening torque:
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
(A) Stay (B) Shift bracket - Install the center exhaust cover and rear exhaust pipe. Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>REAR EXHAUST PIPE>INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the plate COMPL to the body.
Tightening torque:
3 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.2 ft-lb)
- Set the plate COMPL to the vehicle.
- Temporarily tighten the bolt (A).
- Tighten the bolt (B).
- Tighten the bolt (A).
- Tighten the bolts (C) and (D).
- Install the harness clamp to the plate.
- Install the boot and insulator assembly, and secure with a clamp.
- Install the panel center LWR LH and RH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>INSTALLATION .
- Install the cover assembly front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>INSTALLATION .
- Install the gear shift knob by turning it clockwise.
- Make sure the gears can be shifted accurately into each gear.
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
