Central Gateway Control Module: Installation

CAUTION:
  • When the central gateway Control Module has been replaced, be sure to perform the module registration.
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  • When the control module related to immobilizer has been replaced, be sure to perform the registration of immobilizer system. (Model without keyless access with push button start)
    • Except for C5 model, refer to "Type G" described in "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER".
    • For C5 model, refer to "Type I" described in "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER".
  1. Install the central gateway Control Module.

    Tightening torque: 

    1.8 N.m (0.2 kgf-m, 1.3 ft-lb)

  2. Install the speaker assembly center. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>FRONT SPEAKER>INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the center information display assembly and the ornament panel mid passenger. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY>INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the cover assembly front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the grip and boot. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the cover center UPR or the driver monitoring unit assembly. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>DRIVER MONITORING UNIT>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the visor assembly. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER>INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>INSTALLATION .
  9. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  10. When the central gateway Control Module has been replaced, perform the module registration. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>UNIT REGISTRATION>OPERATION .
