Unit Registration (Verification): Inspection

Error message Cause Corrective action
Battery voltage is low. Check the condition of the vehicle and try again. End processing. The vehicle power supply voltage is 10 V or less.
(Control Module for voltage measurement: Central gateway Control Module)
Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
The Ignition is OFF. After confirming that the Ignition is ON, please press the Rerun Button. The vehicle ignition switch is turned to OFF.
(Control Module for ignition switch status judgment: Central gateway Control Module)
Turn the ignition switch to ON and press Rerun.
If the error occurs again even the ignition switch is turned to ON, it is possible that there is abnormal switch input. Check the following points.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the central gateway Control Module.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  4. Check the IGN power supply of the central gateway Control Module connector. Ref. to CENTRAL GATEWAY (DIAGNOSTICS)>CONTROL MODULE I/O SIGNAL>ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION .
    • 9 V or more: Replace the central gateway Control Module and perform the original operation again from the beginning.
    • Less than 9 V: Go to 5.
  5. Check the IG relay voltage.
    • 9 V or more: Check the harness.
    • Less than 9 V: Check the F/B.
It is not a target vehicle for Unit Registration. End processing. A central gateway Control Module with a wrong part number which does not support MAC authentication was assembled. Replace the central gateway Control Module with the correct part number and perform registration from the beginning.
NOTE: The wrongly-installed central gateway Control Module is not affected. It can be used again as a service part for another vehicle.
Attempted to verify the key for a wrong vehicle which is not subject to MAC authentication. No corrective action.
NOTE: The wrongly-operated vehicle is not affected. It is OK to proceed to the next operation directly.
MAC key update has not been performed. MAC key verification can be performed after MAC key update. End processing. Attempted to perform the MAC key verification process while the central gateway Control Module key has not been updated (DTC B1E01). Perform the diagnosis of DTC B1E01. Ref. to CENTRAL GATEWAY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B1E01 UNREGISTERED OF AUTHENTICATION UNIT .
