Select Lever: Removal
NOTE:
- The shift lock solenoid, "P range" switch and manual mode switch are integrated with the select lever.
- The select lever cannot be disassembled.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the mat center tray.
- Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N range".
- Lower the section (A) of the boot.
- Remove the clamp (A) and remove the grip.
- Remove the boot.
- Remove the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover center side RH and the cover center side LH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the duct console center. (Models with rear seat air conditioning) Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT DUCT>REMOVAL>CONSOLE DUCT>CENTER .
- Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT CABLE>REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the clip securing the harness, and remove the select lever.
- Model without CD deck
- Model with CD deck
- Remove the bolts which secure the select lever.
- Remove the select cable from the select lever. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT CABLE>REMOVAL .
