Unit Registration: Inspection

  1. SERVER CONNECTION 
    Error message Cause Corrective action
    Connection with the SUBARU Server could not be confirmed. The computer cannot be connected to the Internet. Check that the computer is connected to the Internet.
    The SUBARU server is down. Check the SUBARU server downtime.
    The Diagnostic Server Connection Authentication Key is incorrect. Please enter again. The SUBARU server connection authentication key is not entered. Enter the SUBARU server connection authentication key.
    Server connection authentication failed. Please check the expiration date of License Activation. If it has expired, please apply for activation again. "LOG No": The Subaru Select Monitor license is not activated. If the license has not been activated: Perform Subaru Select Monitor license activation on the license activation screen displayed when starting the Subaru Select Monitor.
    If the license activation has expired: Select "Option" => "Help" => "Version Information" from the Main Menu and check the expiration date. If the license has expired, apply for Subaru Select Monitor license activation again.
    Server connection authentication failed. Check the diagnostic server connection authentication key. Please reenter. "LOG No": A wrong SUBARU server connection authentication key was entered. Contact the authorized workshop for a correct SUBARU server connection authentication key and enter the key again.
    The server connection authentication failed continuously. Please try again later. "LOG No": The connection button was pressed repeatedly with a wrong SUBARU server connection authentication key. Enter a correct SUBARU server connection authentication key later.
    Server connection authentication failed. Can not communicate with the Server. Please check current environment and try again. The computer cannot be connected to the Internet. Check that the computer is connected to the Internet.
    The SUBARU server is down. Check the SUBARU server downtime.
    Error occurred while communicating with the Server No response from the SUBARU server or the response time is too long. Perform the operation again from the beginning.
    It is not a target vehicle for Unit Registration. End processing. A central gateway Control Module with a wrong part number which does not support MAC authentication was installed. Replace the central gateway Control Module with the correct part number and perform registration from the beginning.
    NOTE: The wrongly-installed central gateway Control Module is not affected. It can be used again as a service part for another vehicle.
    Attempted to update the key for a wrong vehicle which is not subject to MAC authentication. No corrective action.
    NOTE: The wrongly-operated vehicle is not affected. It is OK to proceed to the next operation directly.
  2. MODULE REGISTRATION (UPDATE AND VERIFICATION) 
    Error message Cause Corrective action
    Diagnostic Communication Error. End processing An Error occurred in the following ECUs. ECM***, ECM****** Attempted to establish communication while the indicated ECM was not connected. Perform the basic diagnosis for the indicated ECM, and then perform the procedure again from the beginning. If the error persists, replace the indicated ECM.
    Attempted to establish communication while the indicated ECM was not able to communicate. Turn the ignition switch OFF ? ON, and then perform the procedure again from the beginning. If the error persists, perform the basic diagnosis for the indicated ECM. If the same error still persists, replace the indicated ECM.
    Battery voltage is low. Check the condition of the vehicle and try again. End processing. The vehicle power supply voltage is 10 V or less. (Control Module for voltage measurement: Central gateway Control Module) Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref to PROCEDURE LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure>PROCEDURE
    The Ignition is OFF. After confirming that the Ignition is ON, please press the Rerun Button. Attempted to update or verify the key with the ignition switch OFF. Perform the procedure again with the ignition switch ON.
    Follow the instructions on the screen.
    The Ignition is ON. After confirming that the Ignition is OFF, please press the Rerun Button. Attempted to continue the key update with the ignition switch ON against the instruction to turn the ignition switch to OFF. Follow the instructions on the screen.
    Error occurred during Upload / Download. End processing Error code: The ignition switch was turned to ON before the instruction to do so was displayed on the screen. After a while, perform module registration (update and verification) again.
    Timeout has occurred in Upload / Download. End processing. The key management server cannot perform any processing. Perform VIN registration, and perform module registration (update and verification) again.
    Attempted to perform module registration without performing VIN registration. After a while, perform module registration (update and verification) again.
    Failed to update MAC Key. End processing. ECM***: Success ECM***: Failed to update ECM***: Failed to verify the result *** No response from the key management server or the response time is too long. Perform the basic diagnosis for the indicated ECM, and then perform the procedure again from the beginning. If the error persists, replace the indicated ECM.
    Failed to verification of MAC Key. End processing. ECM***: Success ECM***: Verification failed *** Key verification failed on the indicated ECM.
    NOTE: Reconnect the indicated ECM connector, and then perform the procedure again. If the error persists, perform module registration (update and verification) again.
    Key verification failed on the indicated ECM. No corrective action.
    NOTE: The wrongly-operated vehicle is not affected. It is OK to proceed to the next operation directly.
    There is an ECU that has detected a Key update failure DTC. End processing. ECM***: Not detected ECM***: Detected *** The communication key of the central gateway Control Module does not match other ECMs during key verification. Perform the diagnosis of DTCs B1E00, C1E00 and P1E00. Ref to DTC B1E00: REGISTRATION FAULT OF AUTHENTICATION UNIT , Ref to DTC C1E00: REGISTRATION FAULT OF AUTHENTICATION UNIT , and Ref. to DTC P1E00: REGISTRATION FAULT OF AUTHENTICATION UNIT
  3. MODULE REGISTRATION (VERIFICATION) 
    Error message Cause Corrective action

Perform the basic diagnosis for the indicated ECM, and then perform the procedure again from the beginning. If the error persists, replace the indicated ECM.
    Attempted to establish communication while the indicated ECM was not able to communicate. Turn the ignition switch OFF ? ON, and then perform the procedure again from the beginning. If the error persists, perform the basic diagnosis for the indicated ECM. If the same error still persists, replace the indicated ECM.

    MAC key update has not been performed. MAC key verification can be performed after MAC key update. End processing. Key verification was performed before key update was performed. Perform module registration (update and verification).
