2.5 L Model

NOTE: Components: Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>FUEL PIPE 2 .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the air intake boot.
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Loosen the clamp.

    3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  3. Remove the intake manifold assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL>2.5 L MODEL .
  4. Disconnect the connector (A) from the outlet engine coolant temperature sensor.
  5. Remove the clip (B) and clip (C) securing the engine wiring harness.
  6. Remove the bolts securing the engine wiring harness.

  7. Remove the fuel pipe insulator.

    (A)  Fuel pipe insulator No. 1 
    (B)  Fuel pipe insulator No. 2 
    (C)  Fuel pipe insulator No. 3
