Drive Pinion: Assembly

Install the plugs with new O-rings.
NOTE: Apply CVTF to the O-rings.

Tightening torque:

22 N.m (2.2 kgf-m, 16.2 ft-lb)

Using the ST, install the oil seal (front) and oil seal (rear).
NOTE:
- Apply CVTF to the oil seal press-fitting surface.
- Make sure to install in the right direction.
Preparation tool:

ST: HOUSING BUSHING INSTALLER AND REMOVER (927720000)

(A) 18.7 mm (0.74 in)

(B) 2.8 mm (0.11 in)
Press-fit a new taper roller bearing (front) outer race using the ST1, ST2 and a press.
NOTE: Apply the differential gear oil to the press-fitting surface of the taper roller bearing (front) outer race.

Preparation tool:

ST1: PRESS SNAP RING (28499TC010)

ST2: INSTALLER (398177700)

Press-fit a new taper roller bearing (rear) outer race using the ST and a press.
NOTE: Apply the differential gear oil to the press-fitting surface of the taper roller bearing (rear) outer race.

Preparation tool:
