Drive Pinion: Inspection

NOTE:

For inspection of backlash and tooth contact of hypoid gear set, refer to "Installation". Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>DRIVE PINION>INSTALLATION .
For backlash between the differential bevel gear and differential bevel pinion, refer to "Front differential". Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>FRONT DIFFERENTIAL>ASSEMBLY .

Check each part for excessive wear.
Check that there is no deformation, cracks or other damages.
Check the bearing for smooth rotation.
Check the drive pinion initial load. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>DRIVE PINION>INSTALLATION .
