2.0 L Model

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  3. Remove the air intake boot.
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Loosen the clamp.

    3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  4. Disconnect the connector and remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
