2.5 L Model

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the air intake boot.
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Loosen the clamp.

    3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  3. Disconnect the connector (A).
  4. Remove the bolts securing the engine ground and harness case.
  5. Remove the clip (B) from the engine wiring harness bracket.
  6. Remove the engine wiring harness bracket.

  7. Disconnect the connector and remove the crankshaft position sensor.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive force to the harness. Otherwise the harness may be damaged.
