Fuel Injector RH
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to spill fuel .
- Catch the fuel from the pipes using a container or cloth .
NOTE:
Components: Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>FUEL INJECTOR .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the air intake boot.
- Remove the clip.
- Loosen the clamp.
- Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.
- Remove the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>REMOVAL>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
- Remove the connector (A) and connector (B).
- Remove the fuel injector pipe RH together with the fuel injector.
- Remove the fuel injector.CAUTION:
- If the tip of the fuel injector assembly is hit or the assembly is dropped, replace the fuel injector assembly with a new part .
- Pull out the assembly straight so that the seal surface of the fuel injector pipe RH is not damaged .
- Identify the removed fuel injector assembly with a tag etc. marked with the cylinder number .
