2.0 L Model
- When installing fuel pipe protector No. 2
- Set the fuel pipe protector No. 2.
- Install the camshaft position sensor (intake LH side). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR>INSTALLATION>INTAKE>LH SIDE .
- Set the fuel pipe protector No. 2.
- Connect the fuel delivery tube (B) to the fuel pipe. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE A) .
- Connect the fuel delivery pipe (A) to the fuel pipe. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE B) .
- Connect the fuel delivery pipe to the high-pressure fuel pump. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE C) .
- Install the cylinder head plate to the cylinder head.
- Set a new gasket and install the intake manifold assembly.CAUTION:
- Install the intake manifold assembly so that it is not damaged by adjacent parts .
- Be careful not to let the engine wiring harness be caught by the parts .
Tightening torque :
25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)
- Temporarily install the fuel pipe protector No. 1, and tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque :
19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
- Secure the engine wiring harness to the bracket with claw (B), and secure the battery cable assembly with claw (A).
- Install the engine wiring harness to the clip (A), and connect the connector (B) to the main fuse box.
- Connect the connector (C) to ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the connector (A).
- Hold the engine wiring harness with the clip.
- Secure the battery cable assembly with the claw (D) and clip (C).
- Hold the engine wiring harness with the clip (B), and connect the connector (A).
- Install the fuel delivery tube.
- Connect the connector (A) and connector (B).
- Secure the battery cable assembly with the clip (E) and clip (D).
- Connect the connector (C), connector (B), and the terminal (A).
Tightening torque :
15.5 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.4 ft-lb)
- Install the V-belt cover.NOTE:
- Check the grommet for peel-off or disengagement .
- Be careful not to deform the bracket during installation .
Tightening torque :
7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)
- Set a new gasket, and install the stud bolts (B) using TORX; E8.
Tightening torque :
5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)
- Install the nut (A) securing the EGR cooler.
Tightening torque :
19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
- Tighten the bolt (C) which secures the EGR cooler.
Tightening torque :
6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
- Secure the fuel pipe with the bolt.
Tightening torque :
6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
- Install the clip (F), and connect the connector (E).
- Install the fuel delivery tube clamp (D), and connect the evaporation hose (C).
- Install the clip (B), and connect the connector (A).
- Connect the connector (A) and connect the preheater hoses (B).
- Install the PCV hose No. 1. Ref. to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DO)>PCV HOSE>INSTALLATION>PCV HOSE NO. 1 .
- Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
- Install the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY>INSTALLATION .
- If the fuel delivery tube is disconnected, perform the following work.
- Install the fuel filler cap, and close the fuel filler lid.
- Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
