Intake Manifold Assembly: Installation

Install the clip (C) to the fuel pipe.
Connect the fuel delivery tube (B). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE A) .
Connect the fuel delivery pipe (A). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE B) .

Install the cylinder head plate.

Set a new gasket and install the intake manifold assembly.
CAUTION:
- Install the intake manifold assembly so that it is not damaged by adjacent parts.
- Be careful not to let the engine wiring harness be caught by the parts.
Tightening torque:

25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Install the fuel delivery tube.

Install the fuel pipe protector.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Place the engine wiring harness and secure the engine wiring harness to the bracket with the claw (A).
Set the battery cable assembly, and secure the battery cable assembly to the bracket with claw (B).

Install the engine wiring harness to the clip (C), and connect the connector (B) to the main fuse box.
Connect connector (A) to ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>INSTALLATION .

Connect the connector (A).
Hold the engine wiring harness with a new clip (B).
NOTE: Install the clip while aligning the alignment mark of the engine wiring harness.

Secure the battery cable assembly with the claw (D) and clip (C).
Install the engine wiring harness to the clip (B), and connect the connector (A).

Secure the battery cable assembly with the clip (A) and clip (B).
Connect the connector (C), connector (D), connector (E) and the terminal (F).
Tightening torque:

15.5 N.m (1.6 kfg-m, 11.4 ft-lb)

Set a new gasket, and install the stud bolts (B) using TORX® E8.
Tightening torque:

5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)
Install the nut (A) securing the EGR cooler.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
Tighten the bolt (C) which secures the EGR cooler.
Tightening torque:

6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

Install the clip (C).
Install the fuel delivery tube clamp (B).
Connect the connector (A).

Secure the fuel pipe with the bolt.
Tightening torque:

6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
Connect the PCV hose No. 1 (C).
Connect the evaporation hose (B).
Connect the connector (A).

When the engine coolant remains before removing the intake manifold assembly (1) Install the throttle body. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>THROTTLE BODY>INSTALLATION .
When the engine coolant has been drained before removing the intake manifold assembly (1) Connect the connector (A) and connect the preheater hoses (B).

Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
Install the V-belt cover.
NOTE:
- Check the grommet for peel-off or disengagement.
- Be careful not to deform the bracket during installation.
Tightening torque:

7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)
Connect the battery positive terminal.
Tightening torque:

6 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
If the fuel delivery tube is disconnected, perform the following work.
1. Install the fuel filler cap, and close the fuel filler lid.
