Unit Registration: Operation
CAUTION:
- Perform this operation while having all modules installed at shipment connected. (Example: Do not perform this operation with the engine Control Module removed.)
- When using the Subaru Select Monitor, turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF). When performing module registration immediately after turning the ignition switch to OFF, wait for 10 seconds or more, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Perform "module registration" 3 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF).
- On [Start] screen, select [Immobilizer etc. registration].
- On [Select Registration] screen, select [Unit Registration (Update & Verification)].
Then, when a message screen is displayed, follow the instructions on the screen.
- After the registration is completed, use the Subaru Select Monitor to perform the clear memory.NOTE:
- When replacing the engine Control Module, perform VIN registration first. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DOTC)>WORK SUPPORT . Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>WORK SUPPORT .
- If an error message is displayed during module registration, check the list of error messages. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>UNIT REGISTRATION>INSPECTION .
