Electrical Component Locator: Switches

SWITCHES LOCATION

Component Location
Back-Up Light Switch On top of transmission housing.
Brake Fluid Level Switch In brake fluid reservoir cap. See Figure .
"SENSOR" Light Cancel Switch On left side of dash, below steering column. See Figure .
Clutch Start Switch On clutch pedal bracket.
Coolant Temperature Switch On intake manifold, below thermostat housing. See Figure .
Idle Micro Switch On front side of carburetor. See Figure .
Oil Pressure Switch On front left side of engine, above oil filter.
Parking Brake Switch At base of parking brake lever.
Seat Belt Switch At base of driver's seat belt buckle.
Stoplight Switch On brake pedal bracket.
Thermal Switch On intake manifold, below thermostat housing. See Figure .
Thermal Engine Compartment Switch On right corner of engine compartment, on firewall. See Figure .
Wide Open Micro Switch On front side of carburetor. See Figure .
4WD Switch On transfer case.
5th Gear Switch On top of transmission housing.
