Power Circuits

  1. Disconnect ECM connector. Turn ignition on without turning on engine. Connect voltmeter probes to terminal No. 2 and body ground. Leave the voltmeter probe attached to ground and move other probe to terminals No. 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16 and 18. See Figure .
  2. Voltmeter should read about 12 volts for each circuit. If any circuit does not read 12 volts, check that it is properly connected or has dirty or loose connectors. Also, make sure conditions for the particular circuit are such that it is not out of contact (open) due to a signal from the sensor.
