Microswitch Check Connector

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Turn off ignition. Using ohmmeter, connect negative probe to check terminal with Light Green wire coming from lower right side of dashboard below glove box. See Fig 1 . Connect positive probe to ground.
  2. Turn ignition on and observe ohmmeter indicator. See MICROSWITCH TEST  table for proper ohmmeter indicator movement. If results of the test do not correspond with the MICROSWITCH TEST  table, test idle and wide open microswitches for continuity.

MICROSWITCH TEST

Throttle Valve Position Indicator Deflection
Idle Position Swing
Half Open Stay After Deflection
Full Open Swing
NOTE: If ohmmeter indicator does not deflect, reverse connection of ohmmeter. Connect negative probe to body and positive probe to check connector.
