Idle-Up Signal Check

Disconnect ECM connector from ECM. Turn ignition on but do not start engine. Connect a voltmeter between terminal No. 7 (wire harness side) and body ground. See Fig 1 . Operate each component individually and note voltmeter reading. A reading of 11-14 volts should be present. If any component is not within specifications, check and repair that component and/or circuit.
