Power Circuits

  1. Ignition coil, solenoids and/or solenoids valves are connected to ECM. If any component(s) is disconnected or fails, a signal will not be sent to ECM. As a result, feedback will NOT operate properly. To check power circuits, disconnect ECM connector at ECM.
  2. Turn ignition on without starting engine. Attach a voltmeter between terminal No. 2 (wire harness side) and a good ground. See Fig 1 . Voltage should be approximately 12 volts. Repeat procedure for terminals No. 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, and 18.
  3. If any circuit is not approximately 12 volts, repair wire and/or replace component as necessary.
