Bowl Ventilation System

A vent solenoid valve is operated by ignition switch and ECM. It prevents float chamber fuel vapor from entering atmosphere when engine is at stop and load. When engine is not running, solenoid valve closes vent passage and vapor flows into a vapor storage canister. When engine running, ECM sends a signal to solenoid which opens inner vent tube. Vapor is drawn into carburetor.
