Fuel-Cut System
Fuel-cut solenoid valve is operated by ignition switch. When ignition is turned off or during deceleration, electrical current to solenoid is cut off. The fuel-cut solenoid valve closes fuel passage and prevents fuel flow. During deceleration, fuel-cut solenoid eliminates fuel to engine temporarily. This occurs through signals from ECM, providing coolant temperature is normal, primary throttle valve is closed (idle micro switch is on) and engine speed exceeds 2400 RPM.
