Throttle Position Switch (Wide Open & Idle): Notes

1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Turn off ignition. Using ohmmeter, connect negative probe to check terminal and connect positive probe to ground. See Fig 1 .
2. Turn ignition on and note ohmmeter indicator. See the MICROSWITCH TEST  table in this article. If indicator does not deflect at all, reverse ohmmeter connection and retest. If test results are not as specified, check each microswitch and circuits.
