Wide Open Microswitch

  1. Connect ohmmeter to wide open microswitch connector. See Fig 1 . Ohmmeter should read zero ohm. With throttle valve fully opened, ohmmeter should read infinity. If not within specifications, replace microswitch.

  2. Open throttle valve gradually until ohmmeter reads infinity. Measure throttle valve-to-carburetor clearance. Clearance should be .24-.28" (6.0-7.2 mm). See Figure . If clearance is not within specifications, adjust by bending lever. See Figure . With check completed, install carburetor.
