Remove, Overhaul & Install: Remove/Install/Overhaul: Carburetor: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner case from carburetor. Label and disconnect all vacuum hose and electrical connectors from carburetor.
  2. Remove EGR modulator with bracket from carburetor. Drain coolant until level is below carburetor level. Disconnect outlet and inlet hoses from carburetor.
  3. Disconnect accelerator cable. Remove fuel tank filler cap to relieve fuel tank pressure. Disconnect and plug fuel inlet line to carburetor. Remove 4 mounting nuts and lift carburetor from engine.
