Electrical Load

Backprobe control unit terminal No. 7 with a voltmeter. With engine idling and no electrical load present, voltmeter should indicate zero volts. Turn on headlights, running lights, heater fan or rear window defogger (if equipped). Voltmeter should now read 10-14 volts. If voltage remains low and components function properly, repair open between control unit and diode box.
