Fuel-Cut Solenoid

Turn ignition off. Disconnect fuel-cut solenoid connector. Turn ignition on. Check Black/White wire of fuel-cut solenoid harness for battery voltage. If battery voltage is not present, inspect 15-amp ignition fuse. Fuse delivers power to ignition coil, terminal No. 13 of control unit, and all solenoids. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance across solenoid terminals. Continuity should exist; however, zero resistance is an indication of a shorted solenoid.
