System Input Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect control unit connector. Turn ignition on. DO NOT  start engine. Connect a voltmeter between terminal No. 7 (positive) and ground. Voltmeter should read zero volts. One at a time, turn on and off the running lights, blower motor and rear defogger (if equipped).
  2. When each component is cycled on, 11-14 volts should show on voltmeter. If voltage rise is not shown for individual circuits, repair open in related circuit. If voltage rise is shown for no components, and components function properly, check for open between diode box and control unit.
