Cooling Fan THERMOSWITCH

Remove thermoswitch from vehicle. Using ohmmeter, ensure continuity is correct across thermoswitch terminals. Thermoswitch may be gradually heated in water for testing. See COOLING FAN THERMOSWITCH  table.

(1) Before testing cooling fan thermoswitch, determine if vehicle has an "A" or "B" thermostat. "A" thermostat opens at 190°F (88°C). "B" thermostat opens at 197°F (92°C).
