Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- Disconnect negative battery cable and TPS connector. See Fig 1
.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between indicated terminals. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) RESISTANCE
table. If resistance is not as specified, adjust TPS. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article. If resistance is not as specified after adjustment, replace TPS. For further diagnostic procedures, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
