Diagnostic Trouble Code Definitions

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS

12 System Normal
13  Oxygen Sensor Circuit
14  Coolant (Water) Temp. Sensor (WTS), Low Temp. Indicated
15  Coolant (Water) Temp. Sensor (WTS), High Temp. Indicated
21  Throttle Position Sensor Circuit, Signal Voltage High
22  Throttle Position Sensor Circuit, Voltage Low
23  Air Temp. Sensor (ATS) Circuit, Low Temp. Indicated
24  Vehicle Speed Sensor
25  Air Temp Sensor (ATS) Circuit, High Temp Indicated
31  Pressure Sensor (PS) Circuit, Signal Voltage High
32  Pressure Sensor (PS) Circuit, Signal Voltage Low
41 (1) No Ignition Signal
42  Crank Angle Sensor
44 (2) Idle Switch Circuit Open Or Misadjusted
45 (2) Idle Switch Circuit Shorted Or Misadjusted
51 (3) EGR System Circuit Check

(1) Code 41 is not stored in ECM memory. To check code when engine fails to start, crank engine, and then, with ignition still on, install fuse in diagnostic terminal of fuse block.
(2) When code occurs, ECM will not activate CHECK ENGINE light while engine is running. When problem is fixed, memory of defective area will be erased from ECM.
(3) Applicable to California models only.
(4) Not applicable to California models.
(5) Circuit is grounded for 5 seconds when driving at least 25 MPH.
