DTC 95 - Brake Switch Circuit Open: Notes

EBCM is able to recognize an open brake stoplight switch circuit which would prevent input to the EBCM from changing status when the brake is applied. DTC 95 is used in conjunction with DTCs 91 and 92 to determine the cause of the open circuit.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Confirms an open in the stoplight circuit currently exists.
- Indicates if the stoplight switch signal is being received by the EBCM.
- Indicates if an open circuit exists in the stoplight switch or stoplight switch circuit.
- Isolates the open circuit to either the stoplight switch input circuit or the EBCM.
