DTC P0107 - Map Sensor Circuit Low Input

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Check intake manifold absolute pressure using scan tool. If display reads 5 kPa or less, go to next step. If display reading is not as specified, check for an intermittent problem. See the appropriate TESTS W/O CODES article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and Pink wire of harness connector. If reading is 4-6 volts, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, check Pink wire for an open or short to ground. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug PCM connector "B". Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between Green wire of harness connector and PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 5. Ensure continuity does not exist between Green wire and ground. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, repair Green wire for an open or short to ground. Retest system.
  4. Reconnect PCM. Check for continuity between ground and Green/Red wire at MAP sensor harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Green/Red wire between MAP sensor harness connector and PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 9. Retest system.
  5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect vacuum hose from MAP sensor. Remove MAP sensor. Connect three 1.5 volt batteries in series. Connect positive terminal of batteries to "Vin" terminal of MAP sensor. See Fig 1 . Connect negative terminal of batteries to "Ground" terminal of MAP sensor. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between terminals "Vout" and "Ground" of MAP sensor. Ensure voltage is as specified. See the MAP SENSOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE  table. Ensure voltage decreases as vacuum (up to 15 in. Hg) is supplied to MAP sensor. Replace MAP sensor if voltage is not as specified. If MAP sensor tests okay, replace PCM. Retest system.
