Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)

EBCM monitors AC signals of each wheel. EBCM translates signals as wheel speed. When any decelerating wheel speed rate is determined to be excessive in comparison to other monitored wheels, the ABS actuator (hydraulic unit) cycles hydraulic brake pressure to each wheel to equalize speed of all wheels. ABS does not function when vehicle speed drops to 4 MPH. EBCM is located behind left side of instrument panel above junction block. See Figure.
