TP Sensor Adjustment

  1. With voltage measurement equipment still in place, insert 0.14" (3.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop and throttle lever. Ensure ISC plunger is not contacting throttle lever screw.
  2. Loosen TP sensor screws and rotate back and forth until 0.98-1.02 volts is obtained. Tighten TP sensor screws to 14-21 INCH lbs. (1.6-2.4 N.m).

Application Volts
With 0.140" (3.5 mm) Clearance At Stop Screw 0.98-1.02
(1) Ignition on and engine off.
(2) Using a voltmeter, backprobe between PCM connector "B", terminals No. 6 (Light Green/White wire) and No. 9 (Light Green/Black wire).
