Ensure idle speed and base ignition timing are set to specification. See the following tables:

If necessary, see ADJUSTMENTS article for adjustment procedures. If scan tool is available, check for correct IAC duty. See IAC DUTY AT SPECIFIED IDLE SPEED table.

⁽⁵⁾	With jumper wire installed between test switch terminal and ground terminal of test connector, located behind glove box. See Fig 4 .
