Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

NOTE: Diagnostic information stored in Engine Control Module (ECM) memory can be retrieved and cleared using SUZUKI scan tool or On-Board Diagnostic-II (OBD-II) generic scan tool. Before using scan tool, read instruction manual carefully.

NOTE: Retrieve and record information stored in ECM memory as Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), freeze frame data, etc. before disconnecting battery cable, ECM harness connectors, ECM ground wire or main fuse. Disconnection will erase and loose ECM memory data.
