Esteem (1.6L)

Remove Idle Air Control (IAC) valve from throttle body. Leave harness connector attached. Observe IAC valve rotary valve while an assistant turns ignition on and off several times. Rotary valve should open and close once for every time ignition is turned on. If rotary valve does not turn as specified, check wiring harness and connector for good terminal contact. Check power and signal circuits. Perform appropriate testing procedure under IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE SYSTEM CHECK  . If no problem with wiring is found, clean or replace valve as necessary.
