Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Removal

  1. Relieve the pressure in the coolant reservoir by turning the coolant reservoir cap slightly counterclockwise.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  4. Remove the VIS vacuum tank. Refer to VIS Vacuum Tank Removal  .

  6. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECTS) connector.
  7. Remove the ECTS from the cylinder head.
