EVAP Leak Check System Note

EVAP leak check module is installed in EVAP leak check system. (For more details, refer to EVAP LEAK CHECK SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .)

ECM performs EVAP leak check by operating the EVAP leak detection pump in EVAP leak check module.

This leak check is performed approximately five hours after the ignition switch turned off.

During this leak check, it may hear sound (motor or pump) coming from some components for several minutes. This sound is normal and it does not indicate a malfunction.
