P0031 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank-1 Sensor-1) Heater control circuit voltage of A/F sensor is lower than specification for more than specified time even though control duty ratio of A/F sensor heater is less than 90% with engine running. (Heater control duty pulse is not detected in its circuit of ECM)
P0032 HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank-1 Sensor-1) Heater control circuit voltage of A/F sensor is higher than specification for more than specified time even though control duty ratio of A/F sensor heater is more than 10% with engine running. (Heater control duty pulse is not detected in its circuit of ECM)
P0037 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank-1 Sensor-2) HO2S circuit voltage is lower than specification for specified time even though control duty ratio of HO2S heater is less than 75% with engine running. (Heater control duty pulse is not detected in its monitor signal)
P0038 HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank-1 Sensor-2) HO2S circuit voltage is higher than specification for specified time even though control duty ratio of HO2S heater is more than 25% with engine running. (Heater control duty pulse is not detected in its monitor signal)
P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range / Performance MAF sensor signal is higher or lower than estimated range based on engine speed and throttle angle for 7 sec.
P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input Output voltage of MAF sensor is lower than 0.15 V for 5 sec.
P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit High Input Output voltage of MAF sensor is higher than 4.85 V for 5 sec.
P0111 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range / Performance Variation of IAT sensor signal is less than 15 mV for 10 minutes even though ECT reaches 70 °C (158 °F) after engine is started with ECT less than 30 °C (86 °F).
P0112 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low Circuit voltage of IAT sensor is lower than 0.15 V for 5 sec.
P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Circuit voltage of IAT sensor is higher than 4.85 V for 5 sec.
P0116 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range / Performance
  • Variation of ECT sensor input voltage is less than 15 mV for specified time (in accordance with ECT at the time of starting)
  • Variation of ECT sensor input voltage is less than 15 mV even though variation of IAT is more than 2.5 °C (36.5 °F) and vehicle has been driven for 12min. or more.
P0117 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Circuit voltage of ECT sensor is lower than 0.15 V for 5 sec.
P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Circuit voltage of ECT sensor is higher than 4.85 V for 5 sec.
P0122 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "A" (Main) Circuit Low Output voltage of TP sensor (main) is lower than 0.3 V.
P0123 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "A" (Main) Circuit High Output voltage of TP sensor (main) is higher than 4.6 V.
P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control ECT is lower than 10 °C (50 °F) for specified time (in accordance with ECT at the time of starting) after starting engine.
P0128 Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature) Measured ECT is lower than 76 °C (167 °F) even though estimated ECT on the basis of engine heat (calculated from MAF, INJECTION VOLUME, etc.) has reached 87 °C (189 °F).
P0131 O2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Low Voltage (Bank-1 Sensor-1) A/F sensor terminal voltage is lower than 1.8 V or A/F sensor output current is higher than 5 mA for 5 sec. with engine running.
P0132 O2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit High Voltage (Bank-1 Sensor-1) A/F sensor terminal voltage is higher than 3.8 V or A/F sensor output current is lower than -5 mA for 5 sec. with engine running.
P0133 O2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Slow Response (Bank-1 Sensor-1) Ratio between integrated value of A/F sensor output variation and integrated value of short term fuel trim variation is more than specification while vehicle is running.
P0134 O2 Sensor (HO2S) No Activity Detected (Bank-1 Sensor-1) Impedance of A/F sensor element is higher than 50 Ω for 10 sec. even though A/F sensor heater is turned ON for specified time with engine running.
P0137 O2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Low Voltage (Bank-1 Sensor-2) Circuit voltage of HO2S is lower than 20 mV for 5 sec. 5 times with engine running except for fuel cut condition.
P0138 O2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit High Voltage (Bank-1 Sensor-2) Circuit voltage of HO2S is higher than 1.2 V for 5 sec. even though HO2S heater is turned ON for specified time with engine running.
P0139 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank-1 Sensor-2) Shift time which HO2S voltage change 0.6 V to 0.3 V is more than 1.0 sec. at fuel cut.
P0171 Fuel System Too Lean Total fuel trim (short term fuel trim + long term fuel trim) is higher than specified range for 10 sec. 3 times.
P0172 Fuel System Too Rich Total fuel trim (short term fuel trim + long term fuel trim) is lower than specified range for 10 sec. 3 times.
P0222 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "B" Circuit Low Output voltage of TP sensor (sub) is lower than 0.74 V.
P0223 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "B" Circuit High Output voltage of TP sensor (sub) is higher than 4.74 V.
P0300 Random / Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
  • Misfire, which causes catalyst to overheat during 200 engine revolutions, is detected at 2 or more cylinders. (MIL blinks as long as this misfire occurs continuously.)
  • Misfire, which affects exhaust emission adversely during 1000 engine revolution, is detected at 2 or more cylinders.
P0301 / P0302 / P0303 / P0304 Cylinder 1,2,3,4 Misfire Detected
  • Misfire, which causes catalyst to overheat during 200 engine revolutions, is detected at 1 cylinder. (MIL blinks as long as this misfire occurs continuously.)
  • Misfire, which affects exhaust emission adversely during 1000 engine revolution, is detected at 1 cylinder.
P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Output voltage of knock sensor is lower than 1.23 V for 5 sec.
P0328 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High Output voltage of knock sensor is higher than 3.91 V for 5 sec.
P0335 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor "A" Circuit CKP sensor signal is not detected for 2 sec. even though starter is operated.
P0340 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor "A" Circuit If either of the following condition is fulfilled:
  • CMP sensor pulse is lower than 20 pulses per crankshaft 8 revolutions.
  • CMP sensor pulse is higher than 28 pulses per crankshaft 8 revolutions.
  • CMP sensor pulse is lower than 20 pulses per crankshaft 8 revolutions from engine start.
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency below Threshold Ratio of integrated value of HO2S output variation per integrated value of A/F sensor output variation is more than specification while vehicle is running after warmed up.
P0441 Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow Step 1:
Variation of fuel tank pressure is less than 0.126 kPa when EVAP canister purge valve is operated from ON to OFF.
Step 2:
Variation of fuel tank pressure is less than 1.26 kPa when EVAP vent valve is closed forced and EVAP canister purge valve is ON.
P0443 Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit
  • Monitor signal of EVAP canister purge valve is not varied for 5 sec. even though EVAP canister purge valve control duty is between 10% and 90%.
  • Monitor signal of EVAP canister purge valve is lower than 6 V for 5 sec. even though EVAP canister purge valve control duty is 0%.
P0449 Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve / Solenoid Circuit Monitor signal of EVAP vent valve is lower than 6 V for 5 sec. even though EVAP vent valve is closed (ON).
P0456 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak) Leak detecting pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is higher than reference pressure-2 of EVAP leak check pressure.
P0461 Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit Performance Fuel amount variation calculated from fuel level sensor output is less than 3.7 L (0.98 / 0.81 gal US/Imp.) even though accumulated MAF volume is more than specification.
P0462 Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit Low Circuit voltage of fuel level sensor is lower than 0.16 V for 5 sec. with engine running.
P0463 Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit High Circuit voltage of fuel level sensor is lower than 4.72 V for more than 5 sec. with engine running.
P0480 Fan 1 Control Circuit Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No.1 is lower than 6 V for 5 sec. even though radiator cooling fan relay No.1 is OFF.
P0481 Fan 2 Control Circuit Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 2 and No.3 is lower than 6 V for 5 sec. even though radiator cooling fan relay No.1 is ON and radiator cooling fan relay No.2 and No.3 are OFF.
P0482 Fan 3 Control Circuit Monitor signal of A/C condenser cooling fan relay is lower than 6 V for 5 sec. even though A/C switch is ON and A/C condenser fan is OFF.
P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" (VSS)
  • Vehicle speed signal is lower than 2 km/h (1.2 mph) for 4 sec. while fuel shuts off at deceleration below 3,600 RPM.
  • Vehicle speed signal is lower than 2 km/h (1.2 mph) for 4 sec. even though engine is running at D-Range with more than 3,600 RPM (A/T model).
P0504 Brake Switch "A"/"B" Correlation If either of the following condition is fulfilled:
  • Brake pedal switch signal (ON) and brake light switch signal (ON) are detected at a time.
  • Brake pedal switch signal (OFF) and brake light switch signal (OFF) are detected at a time.
P0506 Idle Air Control System RPM Lower than Expected Engine idle speed is lower than target idle speed by 100 RPM or more for 15 sec. 3 times even though IAC is feed back mode.
P0507 Idle Air Control System RPM Higher than Expected Engine idle speed is higher than target idle speed by 200 RPM or more for 15 sec. 3 times even though IAC is feed back mode.
P0532 A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low Output voltage of A/C refrigerant pressure sensor is lower than 0.2 V for 5 sec.
P0533 A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit High Output voltage of A/C refrigerant pressure sensor is higher than 4.93 V for 5 sec.
P0601 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error Data write error or check sum error.
P0602 Control Module Programming Error Data programming error
P0607 Control Module Performance ECM internal processor error.
P0616 Starter Relay Circuit Low Starter switch signal is not detected even though engine speed is 500 RPM or more.
P0617 Starter Relay Circuit High Starter switch signal is detected for 180 sec.
P0630 VIN Not Programmed or Incompatible - ECM VIN data is not registered or inconsistent in ECM.
P0660 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit/Open Monitor signal of IMT valve is different from command signal for 5 sec.
P0662 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit High Circuit voltage of IMT valve is higher than specification for 5 sec. when engine revolution is 3,000 RPM or less.
P1420 Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve Stuck Open EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -0.16 kPa even though EVAP vent valve is changed from open (OFF) to close (ON) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
P1421 Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve Stuck Closed EVAP leak check pressure is not stable (difference between max. and min. is 0.36 kPa or more) when EVAP vent valve is open (OFF) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
P1422 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detect Pump Stuck OFF EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -0.16 kPa even though EVAP leak detection pump is ON.
P1424 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detecting Pump Flow High
  • Reference pressure-1 of EVAP leak check pressure is lower than specification (-4.31 to -3.95 kPa depending on barometric pressure).
  • Reference pressure-2 of EVAP leak check pressure is lower than specification (-4.66 to -4.40 kPa depending on barometric pressure).
P1425 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detecting Pump Flow Low Reference pressure-1 or reference pressure-2 of EVAP leak check pressure is higher than specification (-1.34 to -0.98 kPa depending on barometric pressure).
P1510 ECM Back-Up Power Supply Malfunction Backup power voltage of internal circuit is lower than 2.5 V for 5 sec.
P2096 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Correction index of sub feedback based on HO2S signal is lower than specified value for 5 sec.
P2097 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Correction index of sub feedback based on HO2S signal is higher than specified value for 5 sec.
P2101 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Range / Performance Throttle actuator control circuit is higher than specified current or temperature for 0.5 sec.
P2102 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low Power supply voltage of throttle actuator control relay is lower than 5 V for 0.5 sec. even though throttle actuator control relay turned on.
P2103 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit High Power supply voltage of throttle actuator control relay is higher than 5 V for 0.6 sec. even though throttle actuator control relay is turned off.
P2111 Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Open Throttle position does not change by 2° during diagnosing throttle valve at ignition switch turned OFF.
P2119 Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range / Performance Difference between the measured (actual) throttle valve opening angle and the target throttle valve opening angle which is calculated based on accelerator pedal opening angle and engine condition is more than specification for specified time.
P2122 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "D" Circuit Low Input Output voltage of APP sensor (main) is lower than 0.45 V for 0.5 sec.
P2123 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "D" Circuit High Input Output voltage of APP sensor (main) is higher than 4.8 V for 0.5 sec.
P2127 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "E" Circuit Low Input Output voltage of APP sensor (sub) is lower than 0.17 V for 0.5 sec.
P2128 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "E" Circuit High Input Output voltage of APP sensor (sub) is higher than 2.4 V for 0.5 sec.
P2135 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "A"/"B" Voltage Correlation Difference between the opening angle based on TP sensor (main) and the opening angle based on TP sensor (sub) is more than specification for 0.5 sec.
P2138 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "D"/"E" Voltage Correlation Difference between the opening angle based on APP sensor (main) and the opening angle based on APP sensor (sub) is more than specification for 0.5 sec.
P2195 O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean (Bank-1 Sensor-1) A/F sensor signal is higher than 1.15 for 10 sec. even though HO2S voltage is higher than 0.2 V while vehicle is running after warmed up.
P2196 O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (Bank-1 Sensor-1) A/F sensor signal is lower than 0.85 for 10 sec. even though HO2S voltage is lower than 0.7 V while vehicle is running after warmed up.
P2227 Barometric Pressure Circuit Performance Difference between barometric pressure measured by EVAP leak check pressure sensor and estimated barometric pressure based on engine revolution, throttle angle and engine load is more than 25 kPa for 0.5 sec. 5 times.
P2228 Barometric Pressure Circuit Low EVAP leak check pressure sensor voltage is lower than 0.6 V for 5 sec.
P2229 Barometric Pressure Circuit High EVAP leak check pressure sensor voltage is higher than 4.7 V for 5 sec.
P2237 O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open Impedance of A/F sensor element is higher than 500 Ω for 15 sec. after A/F sensor heater duty had experienced 70% or more.
P2400 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit / Open Monitor signal of EVAP leak detection pump is higher than 4 V for 5 sec. even though EVAP leak detection pump is OFF.
P2A01 O2 Sensor Circuit Performance (Bank-1 Sensor-2) Stuck lean:
Max. HO2S sensor signal is lower than 0.4 V for 40 sec. and difference between max. and min. of HO2S signal is less than 0.2 V.
Stuck rich:
Min. HO2S sensor signal is higher than 0.85 V for 40 sec. and difference between max. and min. of HO2S signal is less than 0.2 V.
High output performance malfunction:
Max. HO2S sensor signal is lower than 0.6 V for 15 sec. even though A/F (fuel trim) is shifted from lean to rich after fuel cut.
Low output performance malfunction:
Min. HO2S sensor signal is higher than 0.1 V for 4 sec. (A/T), 5 sec. (M/T) after fuel cut.
U0073 Control Module Communication Bus Off Transmission error that is inconsistent between transmission data and transmission monitor (CAN bus monitor) data is detected more than 30 times continuously.
U0101 ECM Lost Communication With TCM Reception error of communication data for TCM is detected for longer than specified time.
U0121 ECM Lost Communication With ABS / ESP® Control Module Reception error of communication data for ABS / ESP® control module assembly is detected for longer than specified time.
U0140 ECM Lost Communication With BCM Reception error of communication data for BCM is detected for longer than specified time.
