Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Battery, Battery Hold Down, Bolt And Washer

Position the battery (1) in the battery box (2).
Install the washer (3) and battery hold down (4).
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the hold down bolt (5).
Tightening torque

Tighten the hold down bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

Install the positive and negative battery cables. Refer to INSTALLATION PROCEDURE .

Position the battery lid (3) so that the alignment tabs (2) are in position.
Lock the locking tabs (1) on the side of the battery box.

Install the PCM (2) on the battery box cover (1).
