Switching Procedure for Disabling/Enabling Keyless Start System
NOTE:
When lock or unlock button of remote controller is operated in the following procedure, switching process will be canceled.
- Sit on driver seat and close all doors.
- Check that door glass on driver seat side is at the lowest position.
- Check that door lock of all doors is unlocked.
- Insert ignition key (1) into ignition key cylinder.
- Perform Steps a) through f) described below within 25 seconds.
- First push manual door lock switch (2) toward lock side (3) and then push it toward unlock side (4).
- Repeat Step a) twice.
- Push lock side of manual door lock switch.
- Remove ignition key from ignition key cylinder and then insert it again.
- Repeat Step d) 3 times.
- Start engine and wait for 3 seconds.NOTE: When 60 seconds elapse after engine is started, the above process will be canceled. Therefore, be sure to proceed to the next step within 60 seconds.
- Disable or enable keyless start system function as follows.
Disabling keyless start system function
NOTE: When the keyless start system function is disabled, the following functions are inactive.- Keyless engine start function
- Door lock function with door request switches
- While pushing driver side door request switch (1), turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Buzzer sounds 4 times and door lock knobs are switched from lock position to unlock position. This operation indicates that keyless start system function has been switched to OFF.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
Enabling keyless start system function
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Buzzer sounds twice and door lock is activated from lock position to unlock position. This operation indicates that keyless start system function has been switched to ON.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
- To end switching procedure, turn ignition switch to ON position or remove ignition key from ignition key cylinder.
