Starting Motor Inspection: Spring

Check brush springs for wear, damage or other abnormal conditions. Replace brush assembly if necessary.

Brush spring tension 

Standard: 15 - 20 N (1.5 kgf - 2.0 kgf, 3.4 - 4.5 lbf) 

Limit: 2.8 N (0.29 kgf, 0.63 lbf)
