Fuel Pump Assembly Removal and Installation: Installation

Reference: FUEL PUMP INSPECTION

WARNING: Failure to take proper precautions when reinstalling the fuel tank connections can result in fuel leakage or damage. Clean the outside surface of the pipe where each quick joint is to be installed, push the pipe into the joint until the joint lock clicks, and then confirm that the pipe is connected securely.

Clean mating surfaces of fuel pump assembly (1) and fuel tank.
Put plate (2) on fuel pump assembly (1) by matching the protrusion of fuel pump assembly (3) to plate hole (4) as shown in figure.

Install new gasket (2), fuel pump assembly (1) and earth bracket (5) with plate (3) to fuel tank (4).
Tightening torque

Fuel pump assembly bolt (a): 10 N.m (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)

Connect fuel feed pipe (1) to fuel pump assembly (2).

Install fuel tank to vehicle. See Fuel Tank Removal and Installation
